Drag-and-Drop Enhancements
We are always looking for ways to improve our editor experience, so we’ve made a few updates that hopefully make your lives a little easier. The new ability to hide cells on desktop allows you to style elements specifically for mobile devices. Additionally, when a referenced snippet is used in the editor, the file path and name will now be exposed to help you distinguish between different versions.
Hide Cell for Desktop
Hide Cell for Desktop Design provides a significant improvement for our customers who are mobile conscious. You’ll find Hide Cell for Desktop in Cell Style when editing a content block. When used, the cell will be hidden in the Preview step of the template creation or campaign creation process, if you are using a desktop device, which is pretty likely. This means that testing will be more important than ever, and you may want to consider using our email rendering integration with Email on Acid.
Improved Snippet visibility
Customers will now see more information about the Snippets they use in templates and campaigns. When a referenced Snippet is pulled into the email design, new fields are displayed in the editor to indicate the Snippet name and file path. These new visual indicators are simply providing more visibility into choosing Snippets or editing saved referenced Snippets.
New paste text options
Many of our customers expect that when they paste text into a pre-formatted text block, that the text adapts to the formatting of that block in the editor. To help meet this expectation, we have added a new Paste icon to the text editor toolbar to give users additional control when pasting content.
Users will be able to choose from the following options:
- Inherit style at cursor position
- Retain source style
- Strip all styling
Notes
- The paste options in the editor will override the account administrator setting to strip all formatting when pasting text.
- And, the Firefox browser does not support these options. This icon will be hidden from users detected to be using Firefox.
Styling for button text
Our customers asked for more flexibility in regards to designing buttons, particularly around controlling the color of text links on buttons. We added a new option for “Text Color” in the button editor which will control the color of the text, or link, applied to the button.
In addition, there seemed to be some confusion around the use of “Link Color” that is found in the STYLE tab. To provide a clear distinction, in the STYLE tab, we moved “Button Color” under the Buttons section, and added a new control for “Button Text Color”.
Automation Splits
Introducing A/B splits for automation! Customers can now send a defined percentage of subscribers down path A and the rest down path B. Whether you’re looking to send two email versions, evaluate different contact data, or send an email and an SMS, the possibilities are endless. Along with this new feature, we have updated our automation designer to give a cleaner, more modern look.
Integrations & a New Zapier Embedded Experience
Connecting Zapier apps and building Zap templates just got easier. We have redesigned our integrations page to allow for quick selection of your preferred Zapier apps. Some apps even have prebuilt Zap templates to save you time and streamline the connection process - all within our UI. If you aren’t a Zapier user, that’s okay, Cazoomi apps and Direct Integrations are also listed on our integrations page and link out to set up pages.
