The condition steps found in the automation designer include an option to re-evaluate the criteria being evaluated in the step. Seen below in a "Clicked Email Link" condition step, you can determine if this condition should be re-evaluated for a period of time. Essentially this will continuously evaluate for the event being evaluated in the step until the timeframe is met. Through use of this functionality, you can create an interactive, or real-time, workflow and respond to behaviors and data quickly.
In each Condition step you will notice a section to configure "Re-evaluate for a specified timeframe or until conditions are met":
The configuration in the screenshot above will re-evaluate the click activity of contacts in the workflow for up to 1 week. When the behavior occurs, the contact will move to the next step in the Yes path. If the behavior does not occur before 1 week, the contact will go down the No path.

1. Automation is available at all licenses, however automation features will vary based on your license.
2. The "Re-evaluate for a specified timeframe or until conditions are met" setting can be checked with no timeframe configured to continue to evaluate until conditions are met, essentially allowing an indefinite evaluation period.
