What is Captcha?
A program or system intended to distinguish human from machine input, typically as a way of thwarting spam and automated extraction of data from websites. The forms designer now automatically adds Captcha. This gives your contacts a way to prove they are a real person and prevents bots from blasting your subscription forms with bad email addresses.
Notes
- The forms designer has been updated to remove the need for you to add Captcha on your own. As of January 2021, our forms designer no longer includes an optional Captcha block and we will add an invisible Captcha in the HTML code automatically.
- If you open a form in the designer that included a Captcha block, the previously inserted Captcha will be removed and the HTML code will be updated to include the new automatic functionality.
- Whenever you edit a form in your account, a re-export of the code is required for the changes to be reflected on the form that may already be hosted on your website.
- If you are updating forms already embedded on your website, it is best to turn off the Captcha requirement in your account temporarily. Uncheck to turn off while you're updating form code and then check to turn back on when the form code is complete on the website. Find this setting here: Settings > Account Management > General Account Settings > Settings tab > scroll to bottom of page.
