Our Custom Report Builder allows you to build custom Contact or Campaign reports to help report on your database or campaign performance. Reports are available to save and export.
How-To
Build a Contact report
- Navigate to the Analytics Dashboard.
- Choose Custom Reports from the left-hand navigation.
- Click the "Add Custom Report" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Contact Report" from the pop-up.
- Name your report and give it a description (description is optional and can be viewed on the Custom Reports page).
- Add the report to a folder if you with under "Directory".
- Start building your filters using the "Select field" drop-down. This clause builder mimics the segment, dynamic content, and automation clause builders.
In my example, I am looking to find all of my Cold or Ice Cold leads and pull their Industry and Salesforce Lead Source information so we can do a targeted follow-up.
I start by searching for Lead Status in the "Select Field" drop-down and creating my clauses:
I know I want some additional information about these leads, so on the Run Report drop-down, I select "Choose Fields".
Now I can choose more fields to include on my report like Industry and Lead Source. I also decided to pull over full name and Industry.
Pro-tip: At this time, Choose Fields does not allow you to select fields from Extended Tables. In my example, my Lead Source data is in an extended table. For that, I will simply add a clause to my report that says "Lead Source Field *is NOT NULL* OR *is NULL*. That way it will pull all Account Manager data into my report. - Hit "Run Report" to refresh your Report data as you work to tweak and refine.
- At any point you can Save the report for future use, Save your Choose Fields option and make them default for the report, or export using the three dots at the top right of the report table:
- Privacy: You can restrict access to your report at any time by checking the Private Report checkbox and naming the administrators that have access. Find out more here.
Build a Campaign report
- Navigate to the Analytics Dashboard.
- Choose Custom Reports from the left-hand navigation.
- Click the "Add Custom Report" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Campaign Report" from the pop-up.
- Name your report and give it a description (description is optional and can be viewed on the Custom Reports page).
- Add the report to a folder if you with under "Directory".
- Start building your filters using the "Select field" drop-down. This clause builder mimics the segment, dynamic content, and automation clause builders with the exception that instead of pulling information about Contacts it includes filters based on campaign attributes and metrics.
- In my example, I want to look up the overall, all-time open rate for a particular segment.
First, I Segment as my filter and add in my segment name. I click "Run Report" to see if I am returning the data I expect to see.
I am getting the results I want but before I can save I want to "Choose Fields" to determine which column headers are included in my report. I remove Clickstream as I do not have it enabled but add Engagement metrics and a column for Campaign Type. - After that, I can save or continue to tweak as needed.
- When I am ready, I can export to Excel using the three dots at the top-right of the grid. There I can get averages, totals, and more.
- Privacy: You can restrict access to your report at any time by checking the Private Report checkbox and naming the administrators that have access. Find out more here.
