In the Basic CRM product, you have the ability to create Deals. A deal is a prospective company that is in your Sales pipeline. Deals include information about the company itself, pipeline stage, value, products associated, contacts associated and more.
A major difference between deals and leads is that deals should always have a (estimated) value associated with them, while leads do not. Once a lead has been qualified, the contact becomes a true prospect and a deal can be created directly from the leads dashboard.
More information about the Deals dashboard
- The default view in the Sales dashboard are the deals in your pipeline. Deals are organized by the pipeline stages you have configured. When viewing the pipeline dashboard, sales reps can quickly identify deal cards by name and value. Each deal card also displays the company, related contacts, next upcoming task, and expected close date and more.
- After a deal has been created, your sales team can edit deal cards to move the record through the various pipeline stages as they work towards closing the deal. Hover over a deal and click 'Edit'.
- When editing a deal, sales reps can add or remove products, easily update the value of the deal, the win probability, or the expected close date.
- Each deal record also has a notes dashboard and a tasks dashboard, both of which are accessible through the left-hand navigation.
