In our drag-and-drop editor, the hyperlink tool offers the ability to assign a "link reporting name", seen in the image below:
Link reporting name is an optional (but recommended!) step of creating a hyperlink in the editor. When utilizing this feature of hyperlinks you'll add more insight into your click tracking reports available. Below is an example click report that includes link reporting name.
Example Use Case
Link reporting name can be very helpful when the same URL is used as a link in multiple places in an email. For instance, you may have a text link, a button, and an image all linked to the same URL, http://www.google.com.
Using the link reporting name feature, you can incorporate slight changes so your reports easily display which place the http://www.google.com URL was clicked.
For the text link you might use a link reporting name of "Google - Text"
For the button link you might use a link reporting name of "Google - Button"
For the image link you might use a link reporting name of "Google - Image"
These test descriptions will be displayed clearly in your click tracking report.
