"Triggered" is one of the ways an automation workflow can be setup. The triggered type uses a clause of criteria. When the criteria is met, the automation will begin. Choose to create a new clause or an existing triggered segment from the account.
The intended use of this automation type is to accommodate customers who wish to use unique ID processing however, any customer with custom tables could leverage this automation type if they are storing dates for purchases or membership renewals to trigger singular record sends.
Abandoned cart using a stored cart date in a custom table. (Non unique ID)
Rewards emails where one email address holds multiple customer reward accounts. (Unique ID)
- Availability of Unique ID handling functionality depends on your license. Contact our Client Success team for questions.
- The account must have a custom data setup that uses a key that is not email address.
- Triggered automation may only use date fields. Triggered automation does not include category join dates or date fields from the default contact table.
- Event automation starting with evaluate contact data can use any field from a custom table.
