The final step of the campaign creation process is determining when the email should be sent. There are standard options like send now & schedule for a future date. But there are also advanced options like send at recipient’s local time zone & send at optimized time for recipients:
This article explains our advanced campaign sending options.
Your license package determines if advanced sending options are available to you.
Time Zone Sending
Select "Send in recipient’s local time zone at the date and time specified" to send your email at the specified time in the recipient's time zone. For example, if you set the time to 9am, a recipient in Indianapolis will be sent the email at 9am in Indianapolis, while a recipient in San Francisco will be sent the email at 9am in San Francisco.
Notes:
1. If we don't know where they're located, they will be sent the email at the time in the time zone you have specified in your account.
2. When using this feature your email will begin sending 24 hours BEFORE the time scheduled in your time zone to accommodate all possible time zones so that all recipients receive the mailing at the set hour in their respective time zone.
Send Time Optimization
Select "Optimize the send time starting at the date and time specified" to send your email when people are most likely to open it. This option takes the guesswork out of choosing the ideal send time, because we calculate it for you based on historical action times.
Notes:
1. If you haven't sent to a recipient yet, or they haven't opened anything you have sent, they will be sent the email at a time determined by the most recurring click time for your account as a whole.
2. If you are a new client and have no historical data, market research indicates 10-20 mailings must be sent before Send Time Optimization can be effective.
