Lead Alerts provide real time feedback to your team. Add a Lead Alert to any point in your drip campaign to notify an internal recipient of new contacts in a drip campaign, or contacts in a drip campaign that opened/clicked a mailing in a drip campaign.
Please note: Create the Lead Alert mailing as a automated mailing before attempting to add the Lead Alert Step to your workflow. Many times the Lead Alert mailing will use merged information of the contact like %%emailaddr_%% to merge in the contact email, and %%firstname_%% to merge in the contact first name.
1. Add a Lead Alert step to your drip campaign workflow.
2. Specify the recipient of the lead alert. This can happen in two ways: 1) from the Email drop-down menu select the field (if you're storing sales rep email in a demographic field) or 2) enter an alternate email address (if you're not storing sales rep email in a demographic field)
3. Select the Automated mailing created as the Lead Alert mailing.
4. Click 'Ok'.
