There are multiple options available to create a segment based on the date contacts get added to your Delivra account. Outlined below are several example segment clauses. Go to the Contacts dashboard and click Segments from the left-hand navigation to get started.

Example 1: Create a date joined segment based on a date from the calendar
- Click the "Create Email Segment" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Regular Segment" from the pop-up.
- Give your segment a name and description.
- Choose a storage folder. (optional)
- Open the "select field" drop-down to open menu of clause options. Use the search box to find "Date Joined".
- Select operator for clause comparison. Your options include equal to, not equal to, before, after, etc. In the example seen in the image, I've chosen "after".
- Use the calendar to select the date and click "ok".
- Click "Save and Test" to save the segment to your library and return results.
Example 2: Create a date joined segment based on a date "within the past" X days
- Click the "Create Email Segment" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Regular Segment" from the pop-up.
- Give your segment a name and description.
- Choose a storage folder. (optional)
- Open the "select field" drop-down to open menu of clause options. Use the search box to find "Date Joined".
- Select operator for clause comparison. In this example, choose "within the past".
- Enter the number of days for the clause. Click "Ok".
- Click "Save & Test" to save the segment and return results.
Example 3: Create a date joined segment based on a date between a date range
- Click the "Create Email Segment" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Regular Segment" from the pop-up.
- Give your segment a name and description.
- Choose a storage folder. (optional)
- Open the "select field" drop-down to open menu of clause options. Use the search box to find "Date Joined".
- Select operator for clause comparison. In this example, choose "date between".
- Use the calendar to choose two dates for the range and then click "Ok".
- Click "Save & Test" to save the segment and return results.
Example 4: Create a date joined segment based on a date "more than" X days
- Click the "Create Email Segment" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Regular Segment" from the pop-up.
- Give your segment a name and description.
- Choose a storage folder. (optional)
- Open the "select field" drop-down to open menu of clause options. Use the search box to find "Date Joined".
- Select operator for clause comparison. In this example, choose "more than".
- Enter the number of days for the clause. Click "Ok".
- Click "Save & Test" to save the segment and return results.
Example 5: Create a segment using the Date Joined field to trigger the send of a campaign.
Typically used to send welcome campaigns to new contacts. (Professional license or above)
- Click the "Create Email Segment" button at the top-right of the page.
- Choose "Triggered Segment" from the pop-up.
- Give your segment a name and description.
- Choose a storage folder. (optional)
- Under the "Find contacts based on this trigger event" section, open the "select field" drop-down to open clause menu. Search for "Date Joined".
- Choose "Exact Date and Time" from the drop-down.
Notes
- You may interchange the field Date Joined used in the examples above with any date field in your account.
- When evaluating dates and the time field is left blank, time will be ignored and only the calendar date will be referenced.
