You tested a segment and the count is not what you expected. Why?
The following could be two possibilities. If you need further assistance troubleshooting this issue, please email our Support team.
- Only contacts in 'normal' status can belong to a segment. Once a contact has unsubscribed or gone into 'held' status, it no longer appears in the segment. If you were to export the database, you would still see the criteria for the segment in the appropriate Demographic field but the contact will not be included in testing the segment or sending a campaign to the segment.
- If you noticed at the time of send that the segment count is different, it could be that cross posting has removed duplicate emails if the campaign was sent to more than one segment and the same emails appeared in both segments.
