While we cannot offer formal legal advice, below are a few tips and notes you may find helpful; we've also attached a more detailed report for reference if you want to dig deeper.
CASL Guidelines
- Make sure you have clear, explicit consent (opt-in) from your email recipients as defined under the law. If you do not, this is something to work towards. (And we could discuss options for a formal opt-in campaign if this is of interest)
- EmailKarma's collection of articles on CASL is a great resource. The author (Matt Vernhout) is one of the leading voices in what CASL means to senders and was instrumental in helping get the law through Parliament: http://emailkarma.net/category/anti-spam-2/billc28/#axzz2zFNiXE40
- Your legal counsel should be able to help guide you in compliance
