In the HTML editor, there are three preferred paste methods when bringing text over from another source. Below we will outline each option.
Pasting text from Word, keep formatting (blue W icon)
- Copy the formatted text from Microsoft Word.
- Go into edit mode of the template or campaign you wish to edit. Place the cursor in the cell you would like the text to paste in.
- Find and select the “Paste from Word” tool in the toolbar.
- Paste your copied text from Microsoft Word into the pop-up window. When finished click Paste and the text will appear in the editor with most of the formatting intact.
Pasting text from Word, remove formatting (black W icon)
- Copy the formatted text from Microsoft Word.
- Go into edit mode of the template or campaign you wish to edit. Place the cursor in the cell you would like the text to paste in.
- Find and select the “Paste from Word” tool in the toolbar.
- Paste copied text into the pop-up window. When finished click Paste and your text will appear in the editor with the formatting removed. (You will notice this box reminds you that this will strip font).
Pasting plain text (Paste Plain Text button)
- Copy the text you want to use.
- Go into edit mode of the template or campaign you wish to edit. Place the cursor in the cell you would like the text to paste in.
- Find an select “Paste Plain Text” tool in the toolbar.
- Paste copied text into the pop-up window. When finished choose Paste and the text will appear in the editor with the formatting removed. (You will notice this box reminds you that this will strip font).
