DESCRIPTION
This article takes you through creating new custom data fields or renaming existing custom fields for your ease of use.
You may re-name contact demographic fields by assigning aliases. This alias is displayed throughout the Delivra interface where that demographic is seen (ex. contact records, segment clauses, merge tags, etc).
HOW-TO
Rename a current custom field-
- Navigate to the "Contacts" dashboard from any page.
- Choose "Configuration" from the left-side navigation.
- Click Custom Fields.
- Hover over the field you wish to rename and click "Edit".
- Enter the new name.
- Click 'Ok' to save.
Create a new Custom Field-
- Navigate to the "Contacts" dashboard from any page.
- Choose "Configuration" from the left-side navigation.
- Click Custom Fields.
- Select the "Create Custom Field" yellow action button in the top-right of the page.
- Select your field type.
- Click "Next".
- Assign the alias and any other desired options like merge options or making the field a picklist.
- Click "Finish" to save.
